MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to all who have an interest in the aims of the Society. The  subscription rate from 1  January 2010 are:

Individual 30 Euros
Family 40 Euros

Members entitlements:
Use of the Society's library.
To borrow library books in accordance with Library Regulations.
To receive one copy of the annual journal, Old Kilkenny Review. NB Family members receive only one copy of the journal.
To stand for election to the Council of the Society.
To stand for election to any office of the Society.
Free entry to Rothe House.

AIMS OF THE SOCIETY.
The promotion and encouragement of public interest in the history and antiquities of County Kilkenny and their connection with the whole of County Kilkenny and its inhabitants.

The institution of research into the history, archaeology and genealogy of County Kilkenny and its inhabitants.

The protection or restoration of buildings and other monuments of historical and architectural interest in County Kilkenny and the development of public interest in said buildings and monuments and their maintenance in their historic or original characters.

The publication of books, pamphlets and papers related to the Society's objectives and encouragement of interest in the literature, fine arts and science of the county; and the publication of records appertaining thereto.

The publication of a journal annually or more frequently.

The maintenance of a museum, lecture hall and library in the City of Kilkenny.
